| Our guide for our hike to Betatakin ruins (Navaho National Monument) Alvaere Laughter. She provided wonderful stories of the area. She said, My grandmother still lives alone in the canyon, but of course she does have a ... (I expected her to say "shortwave radio", but she completed her thought) ... gun! Ms. Laughter's father and grandfatherwere both Navaho Medicine men. We learned quite a bit about cermonies as well as the history of the settlement. |
